Our Experience at the Green-AI Hub Forum: Sustainable Business with AI

On December 2, 2025, we joined the Green-AI Hub Forum in Berlin — a dynamic meeting point for industry, research, and policy leaders exploring how Artificial Intelligence can drive sustainability and circular economy models.

What we found most interesting:

• Strong policy support: Opening remarks from the Federal Environment Ministry emphasized AI's role in boosting resource efficiency and enabling circular value chains.
• Real-world successes: Pilot projects demonstrated measurable benefits of AI integration in reducing material use and carbon footprints across diverse sectors.
• Green AI principles: Experts introduced guidelines for designing AI systems with environmental impact in mind, covering sustainable infrastructure and strategies to avoid rebound effects.

What we found most relevant for KIBARtronik:

• Untapped potential: AI solutions for circular electronics are still few and immature, but their potential for economic and environmental win-wins is clear. That is exactly where KIBARtronik comes in.
• Responsible innovation: We aim to solve sustainability challenges with AI without causing unintended ESG impacts. To achieve this, green AI principles will be integrated throughout the project's development.
• Scalability and adaptability: AI is sector-agnostic. Good solutions should ensure that AI logic and systems can be easily replicated and transferred to other sectors, enabling faster scaling and broader positive impact. This reinforced our belief that a core part of KIBARtronik's USP is its adaptability to other product applications.

Overall, we are excited about the new contacts we made at the Forum. Exchanges with experts and frontrunner companies are just as critical to our success as technical development. Insights, feedback, and external impulses will help us make KIBARtronik ever more capable of solving real-life challenges with real-impact solutions.
